At Swimmies Australia, we believe every child deserves to dive into summer swims with confidence, and every parent deserves to relax poolside, knowing their little one is safe, supported, and looking adorable!
Proudly Australian-owned and inspired by our sun-soaked coastal lifestyle, we’ve created a swim float suit that blends functional safety with effortless style.

Every element has been designed with intention. From the placement of the floats (to keep kids in the right position to learn how to swim properly), to the soft, durable fabrics that hold up to sunscreen, chlorine, and endless summer play. Our prints are inspired by the golden glow of Australia’s summer sun.

Why we made Swimmies
Our mission is simple: to blend safety and style into the perfect float suit for every little adventurer.
We’re parents first, and we know the importance of teaching children how to be safe in and around the water, while never compromising on their enjoyment.
We also know how much emotional (and physical) energy it takes to constantly hold onto your little one while they find their confidence in the water.
After trying so many plastic floaties that dug in, bulky vests that tipped them forward, and awkward swim aids that got in the way of the summer vibe, we realised something was missing:
A swimwear solution that helps our kids float freely and learn to swim confidently, without compromising on comfort or style.
While float suits have been around for a while, they’ve always been hard to find in Australia - especially suits that tick all the boxes: safe, stylish, durable, and actually comfortable for kids to wear.
Meet Kye
Founder · Mum of Three · Poolside Dreamer
Hi, I’m Kye, the founder of Swimmies and a mum of three little adventurers who love the water as much as I do.
I wanted more than just water safety for my kids. I wanted them to feel confident and free in the pool, and I wanted to stop being the flotation device every single time. I also wanted swimwear that looked great. Something I’d be proud to pack for holidays and that would look right at home in our holiday snaps.
Swimmies were born out of this vision:
A float suit that supports your child’s learning, gives you a moment to breathe, and looks as good as your summer moodboard.
Each suit is road-tested by real kids (mine included), made to last through salty summers and long days in the water. Every stitch, print, and float placement has been thoughtfully considered, because we know these moments matter.
Unlike traditional vests that can cause heads to bob under the water, the Swimmies float suit keeps kids in a natural, supported position. Plus, it’s not bulky like arm floaties, so they can move comfortably and enjoy their time in the pool or at the beach.
As a mum, comfort and safety are non-negotiable, and I wanted a product that I could trust for my own children and yours. Swimmies is just that: a stylish, functional, and reliable solution that I truly believe in. I’m proud to offer a product that helps kids stay safe while looking great, all while giving parents like me peace of mind.
